I JUST DIED..........and screamed, then cried, maybe laughed a little and then I GOT MY FREAKING HEA!!! So I'm pretty sure you can say that I LOVED THIS BOOK. I really did get the whole part about Harper loving Brandon and Chase. Brandon was the good boy we are supposed to love and Chase well of course he is the bad boy that you can't help but want. Did they both not totally remind you of another wonderful sexy VB (virtual boyfriend) that we love??? Nudge ya, Nudge ya, wink, wink, say no more, say no more...lol ; What did you think??? I already want to re-read it now!!!!
Oooh, I didn't know this was over here! I've been dying to talk about it! I couldn't decide what I thought of it bc I was so pissed about what happened to Chase. I was like " oh no you didn't". I also loved Brandon, but, of course, Chase held my heart a little more.
Girl...you and I shall be BFF's for life for this books suggestion. You scared me at first when you said you had to skip to the end, but since you mentioned the BD feel I thought I need to check this out. I NEVER, NEVER ever read samples, but after the first chapter I bought it immeditely and fell in luv. I was pissed at first when Chase died, but then I got it. Harper really loved Brandon and even though if Chase would have lived she would have stayed with C, but always longed to be with B. (That's my wacked out opinion anyway). So I think this is the way that the Author could give us all our HEA. If Chase would have lived, I don't think her and Brandon could have gotten back together even if she didn't stay with Chase. KWIM????
I know! It was KILLING me to know who she chose so I went to the end and saw where she said Brandon was her husband. I didn't see the epilogue and know that Chase died. When I went back to reading and got to that part, I was like WTF!! After mulling it over when I was done, I came to the conclusion (like you) that she was meant to be with Brandon and if Chase lived there would have been no closure bc she would have stayed with Chase. Of course, this could have EASILY been 2 books if Chase had lived! I've put so much thought into this book which means it was reeeally good!
Seriously...that is what makes a GREAT BOOK for me, if I'm still thinking about it days after. The author def. could have made this two books easily, but I'm so glad she didn't. I love series, but every once in awhile I love a book that gives me closure. I will say that J.Carter did get on my nerves..ugh...I did see that coming though.
I did too about J Carter. Part of me was wondering if she was going to have something with him, too. I think her pregnancy dragged for me and felt that part could have been shortened and wouldn't have affected the book.
Agreed...it scared me because I really thought she was going to lose the baby because it did drag about the pg. AND the only other prob I had would be that it took sooooooo long for her and Brandon to be "together". I mean she jumped on Chase like white on rice, but it took foreverrrrrrr for her to be sexy with Brandon. You know??? That part was a little stretched for me. After my pg's my hubby and I never made it the full six weeks post partum if you get me...
Ok really liked it- one of my biggest "pet peeves" was the whole pregnancy we hear how big she is, how fast hes growing, how shes going to go early- totally setting us up for twins, then out comes this 6 lb baby! Wth! I was team brandon all the way, with how she spoke about him even when she was with Chase, he was just the one she was meant to be with. But the Chase dying scene was AWFUL! I was laying in bed bawling and trying to be quiet to not wake up hubby cause I didnt want him to know I was up that late AGAIN reading a book! and for it to happen when it did, after the fight, with him never getting closure that she knew the truth and still loved him broke me. That was awful - that bitch trish needed to be beat the hell down by Miss Marine Corps. LOVED BREE! She was just the absolute best friend. So yes, loved it, and taking a book reading break for about .....three more hours to absorb it =)
That's too funny you said that about the weight.. When she said 6lbs 6 oz I too thought WTH! LOL I of course wanted her with Chase ( I always do that) but came to terms with the ending bc I liked Brandon too. It totally upset me that he died thinking she hated him.
Trust me you'll be thinking about it for days...or until we find the next "IT" book..lol The more I think about the pg, I guess I get it. She mentions that her mother, I guess, died in childbirth and that her Dad always thought she reminded her of her mother. Soooo here's my cray-cray logic...they were both small in stature so maybe the pg's were just hard on their bodies. Maybe Molly (the author) was trying to maybe parallel the story...that they both had difficult pg's. I also got that she had him a couple of weeks early so that was why the low birth weight, but she so small so that's why he measured so big???? See...you'll be thinking for days...
When she chose Chase to be the one to give it up to.. I totally thought that meant he was the one. I was tricked!
I totally got that...it was the LUST. Egar1222 nailed it for me. She said that here is this sheltered girl going off to college and she goes a little boy crazy. Yes... I totally get that!!
I still can't decide if I'm Team Chase or Team Brandon, I loved them both so much. I also could totally understand how she loved them both. She came from a life having never had a relationship with a boy, then all of a sudden there are 2 hotties competing for her attention, both with different lovable qualities. Of course she was attracted to them both, I would've been. She had never experienced temptation or the feeling of lust/ love before, it was only natural for her to give in to both. I cried at several parts in the book, beginning with Chase dying, then the scrapbook part, then the part where Brandon is telling Liam about Chase (tearing up now thinking about it). When I wasn't reading, I couldn't stop thinkign about the characters and wanting needing to know what happened next. I will definitely be re-reading this one.

I'm already 1/2 way into my next book, but still find my mind drifting to Chase and Brandon... Even though it doesn't fit their personalities or characters at all, a hot threesome would've been cool... hey, a girl can dream, right?
